Hi, I've got an Amt 67 Fairlane annual that I would like to build as a R code 427. But can't seem to find out which is correct hood they used from the factory? Have seen pics of flat hood(no scoop), hood with long flat scoop and hood with short low scoop. My car will have the XL trim and use the stock wheel covers. Thank you

This is the hood and scoop for a 427 Ford Fairlane.  There was a kit of this particular car from AMT and you might be able to find one on eBay, but it could be pricey.

Let me preface by stating that I'm not familiar with all of the nuances of FoMoCo cars ; this kit very well may be a '67 , as opposed to its proclamation of "1966" . I believe that this is the kit which Mike is referring to :AMT-427.jpg.0c21ba28f980daceb3d007e12574cf48.jpg

I believe you are correct. Also, the kit is a hardtop, not a 2-door sedan (with Falcon roof) like the red car shown in the photo.

Maybe someone has made a resin '67 Fairlane sedan body (or kit) like the one in the photo, but I'm pretty sure such a thing has never been kitted in styrene.

The AMT kit appear to have the 67 427/ 66 GT grille.

Somewhere in the back my head I remember there being an error on the box for the Fairlane GT/GTA. Some boxes had 1966 on them and some had no year designated . 5bccbf3f12e24_s-l1600(1).jpg.cef099cfaac9ca1f9a6a1f9f03188e03.jpgs-l1600.jpg.74c8921eede7e2680cf39bc2f193be96.jpg

The '66 Fairlane also was available with a 427, but not many were made (50 or so).  I believe all were white with a black interior.  I read this in an article in Hemmings Muscle Machines or Muscle Car Review of a guy who owns 2 1966 427 Fairlanes within the last year..
