restoman Posted February 24, 2018 Posted February 24, 2018 I picked this up as a glue-bomb a few years ago. The body and glass were surprisingly good, but the engine, interior and chassis was pretty much a solid chunk of styrene and cement. I saved/rebuilt what I could and robbed the parts box for what I couldn't. A scratch built front axle and some left-over decals over the House of Kolor Planet Green completed the car. Comments always welcome.
High octane Posted February 24, 2018 Posted February 24, 2018 That's a nice save Mike as it's lookin' good, and I believe that I have that kit in my "stash" somewhere.
Casey Posted February 24, 2018 Posted February 24, 2018 Nice save. Good to see someone use those '80s era Ertl '40 Ford "Avenger" decals, too.

Snake45 Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 Fabulous save! Aren't these even more fun than a fresh build of the latest state of the art kit? You should be proud of this one. Well done and model on!
dragalley Posted February 28, 2018 Posted February 28, 2018 Beautifully done! Working on saving a glue bomb myself.
Hmann68 Posted March 1, 2018 Posted March 1, 2018 Looks like that was a lot of work, but it sure paid off. Super clean
OldTrucker Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 Great save! Those kinds of builds to me are the most enjoyable!
