Got the interior pretty much done, for got the pedals . Think I can still het them in. Weathered the chassis a little and started on the engine.

Windows are all in. Put a black wash on the rims, need to make shocks and add brakes then the body and chassis will go together for the last time.

Seeing those rims on the chassis and the body separately, I could not see them working together at all.

With the body on I am quite surprised how good it actually looks!

Well done and very original.  Excellent work on fitting the air cleaner and clear headlights.  BTW, I've used a NASCAR chassis (or parts) under several of my builds too.
