Geno Posted March 4, 2018 Posted March 4, 2018 You're welcome Pat, I can't wait to see it when it's finished.
Rider Posted March 4, 2018 Posted March 4, 2018 Looks real cool, good luck with the rest of the build/mods.
slusher Posted March 4, 2018 Posted March 4, 2018 Really neat project! I really like the work and how it's looking..
Bernard Kron Posted March 5, 2018 Posted March 5, 2018 A Pontiac GTO Breadvan. A .cool historical echo. It's gonna be one good looking car when its done.
Spex84 Posted March 6, 2018 Posted March 6, 2018 This project is looking great so far! I dig the headlights and other modifications, looking forward to seeing where it goes!

Pat Minarick Posted March 14, 2018 Author Posted March 14, 2018 Going to get some primer on this tonight, hope I'm done with the body work.
Psychographic Posted March 14, 2018 Posted March 14, 2018 It'll be nice to see this finished, I love seeing some of these show rods unuglified!

The nose looks like it could have been a design sketch for the '63-'65 Riviera. It's weird you say that, I have a MM I started and never liked my headlight idea (I'm jealous of Pats grill and lights). I pass a Riv with the hidden headlights on the way to a friends house and said to myself they would be perfect on a MM. Edited March 14, 2018 by Psychographic

If you beat me to it, I'll get to see how it looks.

Psychographic Posted March 14, 2018 Posted March 14, 2018 (edited) OK who's got the headlights? Edited March 14, 2018 by Psychographic

Psychographic Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 I found it, but one a pillar is broken. then again I'm used to fixing them about a dozen times on a build like this. I don't think I have the glass for it. I'll have to look at the pics on my other computer to see what I had for it.

Psychographic Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 Enough with the hijacking of your thread, let's get back to your build. Does your hood open or are you building it without an engine?

Does your hood open or are you building it without an engine? I was having a real problem with the hood cracking when I polished the paint that I did have on it. Jimmy Flintstone cast me a couple hoods , but just couldn't get one to fit right . Ended up molding it all into one piece.May make a tilt front end or just stick a blower on top of the engine and cut lines in to look like a tilt front end. Just really want to finish it and look good.
Psychographic Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 (edited) I hear that! I look forward to seeing it done. I think a plain hood would look better, but it isn't my model. I'm sure whatever you do will look good.. Edited March 15, 2018 by Psychographic
Snake45 Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 I was playing around with mine and discovered that the custom hood from the Revell '67 Vette Coupe would be very easy to fit into the MM body, and I could lose the stupid valley look. When I get around to building mine, that's what I'm gonna use. (Planning to glue it in solid and build curbside, but I don't see why it couldn't be made openable with a little extra work.)

I have these if you want one. Not sure if they would fit!
