OldTrucker Posted May 9, 2018 Posted May 9, 2018 Built last year. Never dreamed it would come out this good! Took a lot of time and patience to get everything to fit.
Eric Macleod Posted May 9, 2018 Posted May 9, 2018 WOW! I built that one as a kid. Trust me, it does not hold a candle to your excellent model. Well done!
Hard_2_Handle_454 Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 Saw one awhile back, but didn't have the money to buy it. Haven't seen one since. Nice build.
sjordan2 Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 Outstanding job. The multi piece body totally defeated me when I was a kid.

I worked on and off for a VW ( foreign car) repair shop over 20 years and the owner was in love with these cars! Always had several parts cars around and a couple running. Had one all original with a little over 30,000 miles on it but his favorite was one that he bought missing the engine that he shoehorned an aluminum block 215 ci buick nail head engine into backed by a Borg warner T-10! Ran Chevrolet station wagon rims with baby moon caps. I don't remember how those were adapted to the car all I know is it was a quick little car!
