shoopdog
I started out building the drag version of this kit but by the time I finished painting the interior I decided it wasn't going to be an all out drag racer. So I ended up with a custom/drag/stock something or another. Possibly a train wreck? I followed the cut lines for the wheel wells and they look pretty silly up as high as they are on the 1/4 panels, wasn't happy with that. Paint is Tamiya TS-21 with a clear coat and I either painted or used a Sharpie for all the trim. Comments or criticism welcome.
1972coronet
I like it ! Looks like a period piece ; like it was built back in the 60's or 70's ( a compliment ) . I've got the same recently-reissued kit ; the moulded-in-Gold-Metallic version . It's on my "polished plastic" list . Keep up the great work ! Spex84
That's pretty cool! I agree that the color and silver trim (as opposed to bare metal foil) makes it look like an authentic 60s model. They didn't have pad-printed Blue Streak slicks back then of course I think the cut-out rear wheel arches and the raked stance give the car a distinctive personality. Both are cool! Yours looks nutty! Like a real wild geezer would drive. It's good to see the custom grille being used, too.
Dave Darby
I like it a lot. The only thing I would change is to add some period correct chrome or mag wheels. Very nice looking build.
