I'll be detailing the body next and then it is on to the engine. Later-

Modlbldr Posted June 15, 2018 Author Posted June 15, 2018 Thanks Fellas. Looking forward to getting the decals placed. Not looking forward to doing it.....just looking forward to getting g it done. Later-
Modlbldr Posted June 16, 2018 Author Posted June 16, 2018 (edited) Well, tonight I jumped in and did the decals for the body. Just as I thought, I was not looking forward to the hood decal. It got screwed up so I will probably have to sand off the center stripe and paint it semigloss black. All of the rest turned out decent enough. http:// http:// http:// http:// Later- Edited June 16, 2018 by Modlbldr
Modlbldr Posted June 16, 2018 Author Posted June 16, 2018 Just as I was getting ready to call it quits and head to bed for the night I got an idea to use the border from the Mach 1 tail panel decal to make the missing decal for the tail light surround of the Boss. Here is the start. Once this dries I will add a couple of small pieces to extend the decal farther down alongside the taillights. http:// Later-
dragmodels44 Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 (edited) Looks awesome. The color looks spot on for the Ford Lt green met. That was a good article and the Jan 2000 has the rest of the build for the engine. Great work. Edited June 17, 2018 by dragmodels44
Modlbldr Posted July 4, 2018 Author Posted July 4, 2018 Got a new set of hood decals from Vmach (thank you, Sir) and got the hood stripped and repainted. Ordered some wire for doing the engine work and have been pouring over the reference to figure out all of the wiring. Been detail painting parts for the engine bay. Down to the slow stuff. Stay tuned for more photos. Later-
Styrofoam04 Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 WOW , Love the detail! Do you have a link or magazine issue?
Modlbldr Posted July 5, 2018 Author Posted July 5, 2018 The magazine article was actually a two part series in two issues of Scale Auto Enthusiast-Dec 1999 and Jan 2000. Lots of detail. Later-
66belair Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 Looks great, I’ve thought about using that color for a Mustang build myself.
Modlbldr Posted May 13, 2019 Author Posted May 13, 2019 Well, this took a bit to dig back and find. I have been energized lately to work on the engine for this build. I have been collecting wire and rod of different sizes to follow the info as closely as possible. The Tim Boyd two-part article is very helpful. My wife and I celebrated our 30th anniversary on Saturday so I took Friday and today off of work. We went out of town for the night on Friday and came back Saturday. So I have been plugging away at the engine off and on during this weekend. Made quite a bit of progress but have A LONG way to go. Here is today's progress so far. http:// http:// Got the distributor in place and the anti backfire muffler on (just to the right of the left valve cover). http:// http:// Well, enough of the chit-chat. Time to get back at it. Later-
