Matt Bacon Posted May 26, 2018 Posted May 26, 2018 A rather simplified kit, but it captures the shape of the most beautiful sports prototype GT car ever built... best, M.
bbowser Posted May 26, 2018 Posted May 26, 2018 Very nice build of an icon. I think it's much classier than the newer one next to it. Did you paint or polish the body? Either way looks flawless.
Matt Bacon Posted May 26, 2018 Author Posted May 26, 2018 (edited) Thanks, Bruce and JC... paint is Zero Paints Rosso Corsa 300 with their Diamond 2K Clear. Probably too shiny for the vintage, but no sanding and polishing needed. It's certainly classy looking (the classiest, I reckon) even if, by today's standards, not so fast (a Golf Gti or Focus RS is faster and more driveable, sadly ;-P) best, M. Phirewriter Posted May 27, 2018 Posted May 27, 2018 Ditto to all the above accolades. One of my favourite 60's Ferrari racing cars.
Dave B Posted May 27, 2018 Posted May 27, 2018 Great build Matt, I converted my into a Spyder version Dave B
1959scudetto Posted May 27, 2018 Posted May 27, 2018 Great build, Matt, of one of the most beautiful sports car racers ever (beside the Ford GT 40 Mk I) - the modern Ferrari looks ugly in comparison - at least for me!
Curt Posted May 27, 2018 Posted May 27, 2018 Congratulations, Matt. At the end of the day it’s all about the image, and I’d rather have a curbside that gets built than a full detail kit that sits for years unbuilt, waiting for the right detail part or my ambition to tackle it. I’m sure you are happy to have that beautiful image on your shelf.
Matt Bacon Posted May 29, 2018 Author Posted May 29, 2018 Thank you very much, gentlemen! I also think the Spider would be cool! All the best, Matt
ismaelg Posted May 29, 2018 Posted May 29, 2018 Love it! That is one of the most beautiful cars ever made! Great job!
