Ace-Garageguy Posted Sunday at 01:23 AM Posted Sunday at 01:23 AM (edited) 11 oz. box of blueberries. Eat 'em like candy. Filling, sweet/tart, only 180 calories, and they're really good fer ya. https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC7442370/. EXCERPT:  "An increasing body of evidence suggests that blueberries and anthocyanins reduce biomarkers and risk of diseases that constitute major socioeconomic burdens, including cardiovascular disease (CVD), type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), and neurological decline. In these observational analyses, anthocyanins often provide benefits over and above other plant food phytochemicals, including other flavonoids (2–6). The intake of even moderate amounts of blueberries (approximately one-third cup) and anthocyanins (<50 mg) daily is associated with disease risk reduction (2–4, 6–9)." rattle can man Posted Sunday at 02:16 AM Posted Sunday at 02:16 AM Store bought carnitas, and homemade salsa (didn't quite have enough for a twelfth jar when canning today).
Rodent Posted Sunday at 05:18 AM Posted Sunday at 05:18 AM Surf and turf with shrimp and a filet. Nice bruschetta appetizer. Wine. Bread. sutterstreetsteakhouse.com Spousal unit had the two lobster tails. Guest of honor was the best neighbor ever for 32 years now to celebrate her 77th birthday. She had the salmon that looked interesting. It was all very expensive, but you have to celebrate the people you are close to because we won't be here forever. 1
TonyK Posted Sunday at 01:11 PM Posted Sunday at 01:11 PM On the subject of blueberries......I don't like them. Never have. I like all berries except those. My wife loves them and gives the dogs a few every morning. I know most people like them and are always making things with blueberries in them so I'm the oddball I guess.

I’m with you. Never been fond of blueberries, but I love most every other berry. My wife loves them too.   Steve
StevenGuthmiller Posted 8 hours ago Author Posted 8 hours ago  you have to celebrate thepeople you are close to because we won't be here forever.  I agree! Which is why I spent the afternoon on Sunday making a big batch of meatballs and red sauce for  my daughter and her family, and my son and his fiancé. Of course we had to sample it to be sure that it was safe. 😉     Steve 1
