Made me-self some grilled wings last night!

The Sweet Heat is the sauce I use while cooking so the pedestrians can have wings.  The Spicy and their Wicked Wing Sauce is kept on the side of my plate for dabbing!

Stubb's sauces and marinades are fan-freaking-tastic! They make even the cheapest cut of meat taste great. Get a large red onion, cut it open and scrub it on the grill when you're finished cooking. It will clean off any and all burnt on food residue.

These are photos taken from our vacation this past week.

While in Washington, seafood was in order.

In Burllington Washington we ate at a little bar called the "Train Wreck Bar & Grille".

I had some fabulous fried oysters and the wife had crab cakes.

The next night we went to a little port town near Burllington called Anacortes.

The restaurant was called the "Rockfish Grille".

There I had a bowl of very fresh steamer clams and mussels steamed in garlic and white wine.

Delicious!!

Not meaning to gross anyone out, but I grew up with these, and to this day, they're still one of my favorite comfort foods.

Creamed chicken liver on toast.

Kind of "sh*t on a shingle" with innards. :D

But you would be surprised at how rich and sweet this is, with only 4 ingredients.

Butter, onion, chicken livers and cream. ( I guess you could include salt, pepper and toast in that count)

Of course, I can only make this when the wife isn't around! ;)

Buffalo Legs!  It goes like this...  Buffalo wings were originally conceived by the Anchor Bar in Buffalo, NY in 1964 as a tasty bar treat because they were the cheapest part of the chicken.   Well it kinda caught on.

I usually make my own grilled Buffalo wings from fresh full size wings.  The store had none. But they had tons of legs...and at less than HALF the price of wings.  Note that legs have a lot more meat per pound than wings!  So we had Buffalo legs!    And they were fall off the bone good!

As I'm becoming increasingly tired of being a fat-old-guy, and as there's really nothing I can do about the "old" part, I've been working pretty hard on the "fat" part.

Lotsa aerobic exercise, as much as I have time for, and it's beginning to show real results.

AND...modifying my evening meal to be only fresh fruit or vegetables, as much as I want (including a reasonable amount of dressing on the veg...and not the nasty "lite" stuff, but real blue cheese, etc.), and a little cottage cheese to satisfy the desire for fat and protein, has started returning benefits too.

A whole pint of fresh blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, or grapes will really fill you up and have very few calories or sugar, in spite of some of the common misconceptions going around. A big juicy tomato and some dressing's great too.

I've already gone from my 36" jeans being tight at the waist to needing a belt with 34-inchers to hold 'em up.  B)
