Phirewriter Posted June 13, 2018 Posted June 13, 2018 (edited) Outstanding! Love the concept and execution. What format are you making the faux box artwork in? Edited June 13, 2018 by Phirewriter

I have CorelDraw x8 that I use for most of my artwork . But for this and the other faux box art I've done I used Paint.net , it's very easy and quick .
peteski Posted June 13, 2018 Posted June 13, 2018 (edited) Did you use Corel Draw for the decal artwork? What did you print them on? I wonder why was this thread moved from "Under Glass" section to "Drag Racing Models"? Isn't "Under Glass" section for showcasing completed models? Puzzling . . . Edited June 13, 2018 by peteski
Ace-Garageguy Posted June 13, 2018 Posted June 13, 2018 Very nice. Biggest smile I've had here in a long time.

I usually do but this time I was experimenting with different methods of printing them on white decal paper with a plain old inkjet printer , I used both Paint.net and Inkscape for these . The thread being moved was a decision by the moderators , I'm not going to second guess or argue with them .

That is tough to do. At least in the photos, it looks great. Only now that that you've mentioned it, I can see the decal outlines, but only very faint. Another question: Corel Draw is pretty powerful and versatile (I have used it since version 3, and currently on version 10 and 12, which have way more features than I'll even need), why did you stray into Paint.net and Inkscape? Just to to try them out and learn how to use them?
Spex84 Posted June 14, 2018 Posted June 14, 2018 Beautifully done, what a gem. The roll bar is bang-on, as are the other details. I love the faux-original box art too!!

Greg Myers Posted June 22, 2018 Posted June 22, 2018 Wouldn't it be great to see a new kit with all the Big Tee parts in the smaller 1/25th scale ( or 1/24th) as a 6 in one kit ?
