Hi fellas. My current car project.

Very nice!  Is that shadows or did you paint the calipers two different colors?

Shadows. I used panel line paint on the rotors too. They look less toy like with that done.

Yeah, I could tell you had panel line paint on the rotors.. That really made them pop and look nice.  But I was trying to figure out how you mask the calipers so perfectly LOL.  I think that paint color works great on the calipers for that reason.

I painted the whole brake assembly Tamiya gloss black from the can. Then I use Tamiya metallic silver from the can which is almost chrome. Once that’s cured I use a hole punch to put holes through masking tape. That’s how I get perfect circles for masking the chrome silver rotors off to allow me to paint the rotor centre? and calibers titanium gold. I then carefully put the tape with the hole in it over the rotors. I then use a sharp scapal to enable the caliber to be exposed.then the titanium gold is sprayed on, ensuring that the tape has been burnished down first. Hopefully this helps. It’s fidly but worth it.  I should do a video or photograph it next time. Cheers

Thanks for explaining that... It turned out good.  I also love the color of your fire extinguisher and the strap.  Looks so good together and I've never seen that color (haven't been doing this long) for the bottle before.

That bottle is Tamiya gunmetal, straps done with a fine chrome paint pen.

I have 8 of them....totally worth it. They're very nice kits, simplistic, but in the good way. There are more and more liveries becoming available for them all the time so there's lots of options for building unique versions. They're the new " Danica NASCAR" kits for GT fans.

The only thing that I’m struggling with on this kit is the decals. I’ve had a few go wrong, might be operator error not the decals.
