I have a wife that not only supports my hobby and my passion for 1:1 cars/trucks cars/trucks and cruise ins but also she is heavily involved with them being she grew up around all this so when we were on vacation this past week going to some antigue junk stores we stumbled across this lil' doober on our way back home and immediately she fell in love with it. Later that evening we were at a local cruise in with the '66 and next thing I know she is calling the guy who was selling it and the next morning she asked if we could just go look at it and so we did and the guy threw us a ridiculous low price on it and she said "we have to think about it" .... well later that night she threw a even lower ridiculous offer back at him and he said okay!!! ..... so knowing she has always wanted a cruise toy of her own we went back yesterday morning and I bought the car for her.

It's a '76 Maverick with 44,000 original miles and has spent it's whole life here in northern Ohio by the original owner until he recently passed away....

Great find. Every now and then you'll see something of this nature show up. If you can you really need to save them.

Agree with the others, super nice Maverick.  Not too sure about that picnic table front bumper though, I didn't realize they stuck out that far.

Super clean Maverick!B)

We has went and looked a a couple that were low mileage had good paint little rust sowing and near perfect interiors. Ran like a well oiled singer sewing machine!

Everything great, until you crawled underneath for a look.

The road salt and years have done a number on them especially the floors and where the sub frame connects.

What engine is in it?  I bought a thoroughly rusted-out '74 two-door in 1986; its then-27,000 mile 250 six and C-4 transmission now rest under the hood of my '62 Fairlane.  The interior in that Maverick was absolutely pristine, however the bucket seats were so downright ugly that I didn't want them, nor did anyone I know want them.

Super nice!!! 70's green and old school caps on the wheels.  Only thing that bugs me about those 70's rides are those massive bumpers.
