cargostar
With the upcoming rerelease of the Scout SSII kit, I’ve decided to master some detail parts for the engine bay to correct some errors and add some interest to it. First piece ready for molding is the heater box for the right inner fender.
dino246gt
Cool! I already made my own heater and other "stuff" but it's cool to see new stuff for Scouts! What else are you planning to make for the Scout?
cargostar
There will be correct inner fenders, washer and overflow bottle, hood latch, m/cyl and brackets, jack, rad, and fan shroud. Undecided on a correct steering box/coloum, and shock mounts.
dino246gt
Wow! I may have to do another Scout! I had 3 of them "back in the day", real ones that is!
Goose1957
Great! Sign me up! I had to kitbash and scratchbuild stuff for my Scouts. Looks good so far. Please, please, please do a correct radiator and fan shroud as I couldn't find anything I liked in my parts box. Let me know if you need any detail pics of the engine bay as I took dozens of pics of my 1:1 Scout to do my engine bay on my builds. Thanks and good work. cargostar
Reference isn’t a problem. My daily driver is a Scout.
Goose1957
Cool, wish mine wasn't too far gone. I'd love to restore it and drive it daily like I did when I was younger. Guess I'll just stick to my Jeeps now. Sigh...... Jeff
cargostar
Inner fenders are almost done.
mikemodeler
Cool stuff there Dave, should be good sellers. Now if we could get a first gen Scout, a IH Pickup truck and a Travel All then you would make me (and a bunch more folks) happy!

cargostar
Hmmmm maybe I’ll get back on the Travelall But first mire Scout parts! Heres the hood latch and washer bottle.

Looks like it's all just sheet plastic. You've got the look coming along nicely, I want to see more of this.
Tom Geiger
Fantastic! Put me down for a Travelall, and two sets of the underhood goodies! I had been scratch building the stuff, but I see procrastination is my friend once again!
cargostar
Thanks! The Travelall is all scratchbuilt. There is nothing that even comes close, so had to scratch it.
dino246gt
I got the newly re-released Scout kit, disappointing for me as I WAS hoping for better wheels and tires and decals, nope! While there are a set of spoke rims, the tires are identical to all the Scout kits, and there IS a decal sheet, but alas, no instrument or under hood decals. Keith Marks sells a sheet with the Bicentennial graphics which comes with gauge decals-
Chuck Most
The Travelall looks good, so would a D-series pickup. (Cough, cough ) I'll definitely be good for some Scout parts as well.
Casey
I would love to see the Terra 'cab' piece, too, if that's on your to-do list, Dave. I think that would be a great offering for when Round2 issues the regular Scout.

mikemodeler
I have been working on something similar to Casey's pictures of a Terra but would love to have one of these in real life.
