I can't believe that killed him.. didn't look like he was going that fast.  Wonder where the fault was?

Yeah, old guys and really fast cars are not a great combination. We had a driver die up in Bakersfield a few years back. Never pull the chutes at full power all the way. Found out later he had a heart attack and was dead by the time he hit the finish line. A really bad deal 

Doug Rose also had prosthetic legs from an accident back in the 60's but he kept driving that thing. 

Not much protection when you are the tip of the bullet
