crazyjim Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 I'm calling this puppy done. Paint is Tru-Color carbon flash pearl and I used Rustoleum texture paint for the undercoated chassis.
BigTallDad Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 Very nice work on a rather obscure car...I'm not sure I'd go with white plug wires...
crazyjim Posted August 23, 2018 Author Posted August 23, 2018 Thanks Ray. I wanted the wires to stand out somewhat.
shoopdog Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 I like how it turned out, especially the under coated chassis and the painted frame.
cobraman Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 Looks great Jim ! I like the undercoating you did.
Jmaracing Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 Sharp looking build Jim. That’s one big automobile.great job.
Bucky Posted August 24, 2018 Posted August 24, 2018 Great looking OLDS! I'll hafta remember the undercoating trick!
Dann Tier Posted August 24, 2018 Posted August 24, 2018 Another beauty, Jim!!, what did you use for the carpeting, and what kolor is your carb?
crazyjim Posted August 24, 2018 Author Posted August 24, 2018 Thanks Keith, Ray, Joe, Carl, Keith, and Dann. Rustoleum texture paint comes in 4 or 5 colors and goes on thick. Make sure you shoot from at least 12". Carpeting is Ken's Kustom Funny Fur, Dann, and carb color is a mixture of jet exhaust, flat black, steel, gold, and brass.

crazyjim Posted August 24, 2018 Author Posted August 24, 2018 I can send you the exact proportions I use for my carb paint if you'd like, Dann. It's a different amount of drops for each color.
Hmann68 Posted August 25, 2018 Posted August 25, 2018 You sure pump out a lot of nice models quickly! Wish I had that kind of time! That olds is looking classy in black! ?
crazyjim Posted August 25, 2018 Author Posted August 25, 2018 Thanks Christopher. Being old and retired helps with time.
donb Posted August 25, 2018 Posted August 25, 2018 Your interiors are always beautifully done. I really like looking at your work. Another nice one Jim!
crazyjim Posted August 25, 2018 Author Posted August 25, 2018 Thank you Donald and Dan. Interiors are my favorite part of a build.
espo Posted August 25, 2018 Posted August 25, 2018 Beautiful looking Olds. Since it's a convertible we get to see how nice the interior really is. I like how you detailed the chassis, like a lot of after market sway bars and shocks have been added. Good idea on the undercoating, Rustoleum also offers a fine textured black paint.
