So by this statement I take it if it does upset you that someone is a lowlife and takes credit for your work you are not "grown up"?

I think you missed his point and mine...AND you have no idea what the purchaser did or didn't do with it.

VERY good point!!….also, there IS a difference between a Model Show, and a CONTEST......put it in the show.....a contest is ONLY for people who do their OWN work to be judged on how THEY built it.

You might be surprised as to how many I have met who are desperate enough to pull this stunt .

Would it bother me? Hmm...depends on how much the person paid me. Enough zeroes at the end and you'd be surprised how much I can overlook or ignore!

Seriously though, it would probably bother me if someone claimed my work as their own. Especially if that kit was getting ridiculous amounts of praise and winning shows everywhere. Although, I've seen my builds. This wouldn't be a factor!

If you're not going to do your own work, why bother with the contest? Just go to the trophy shop and buy your own darn trophy to impress your friends!

This boils it down perfectly!

Maybe I'll just run down to my local trophy shop, order up a dozen "best in show" trophies & save myself the hassle of running off to any shows!

While I'm at it, I suppose I could buy a dozen built models on ebay to go with the trophies! ;)

And you miss the op's point, would it bother you? Yes or no? Not is it up to the purchaser of a built model what they do with it.
