Gramps46 Posted November 3, 2018 Posted November 3, 2018 Could that be Budd Anderson on the left? ITED STATES - DECEMBER 05: 1966 8th Annual International Motorama - Great Western Exhibit Center. This Ford GT-40 was fitted with cameras for the filming of John Frankenhe66 movie Grand Prix as used to film the innovative low fast moving shots that help made this iconic racing movie.
Dave Ambrose Posted November 3, 2018 Posted November 3, 2018 Wow. That's interesting. I need to go watch that movie again.
Bainford Posted November 3, 2018 Posted November 3, 2018 Yeah, me too. It's been too long. Cool photo, btw
Scott Colmer Posted November 3, 2018 Posted November 3, 2018 I guess this can go here. It's the J Car Bud Anderson built from the MPC kit that bore his image. I bought it from him several years ago. He was a fun guy to talk to. It's good to see some of his history on other projects.
Gramps46 Posted November 3, 2018 Author Posted November 3, 2018 There were two movies that used Ford GT40s as camera cars. Grand Prix used P1027 and Le Mans used P1074. They would make neat models using the Fujimi kits.
Daddy Mack Posted November 3, 2018 Posted November 3, 2018 Fords are not my favorite manufacturer but IMHO the GT-40 is the most beautiful racing car of all time. I bow down to Hank The Deuce for bringing it to life.
