Greg Myers
In light of the losses in California, here are a few pictures past and present. First, my favorite P2v diving into a canyon.
Greg Myers
A few more types. My nephew works at Fox field and said they are running nine aircraft, filling three an hour.
cobraman
Man they look so low in that first photo.
afx
I've seen crop dusters fly which is quite impressive.

Snake45
P2Vs are a favorite of mine--I think they're around 4th or 5th of my Best Looking Twin Engine Prop Aircraft of All Time. They're just beautiful!
OldTrucker
My hat is off to those brave fly boys that do that for a living! Knew a Pilot from Wisconsin that used to do that. Flew a C-119! Had pictures of it in flight making drops and with him and crew next to it.

Greg Myers
Answer to a lot of low powered aircraft in the early days, add some jets Edited November 14, 2018 by Greg Myers

I'm very well aware of that. I've seen tons of underwing mounts. My specific question was regarding the single top-of-fuselage mount on the C-119. Guess I coulda looked it up. Though I think I've seen some military 119s with jets under the wings. Or maybe I'm thinking of C-123s. BTW, if any of you Scale Masochists wants to do a detailed 119 model, I'm pretty sure I've got cockpit shots. It's pretty cool--you have to climb a ladder to get up there. stavanzer
Yes, the Single Engine Mod was common, but I've only seen it on the Fire Bombers. Wish you had some pics of the Cal-Fire Bronco "Lead" aircraft.

89AKurt
This video was taken last year over a fire in Arizona, thought it was the Goodwin Fire but title says otherwise. The DC-10 saved the day nevertheless. The 747 is another subject, which gets into politics, so won't go there.
