Sledsel Posted December 5, 2018 Posted December 5, 2018 Even with it's issues, this kit builds up pretty well. I'll probably add another to the stash and I will continue to support R2 because of them digging out so many old kits making it possible to build them without paying nutty prices.
Chuck Kourouklis Posted December 5, 2018 Posted December 5, 2018 It think it's a pretty canny thing, Round 2 cutting this loose with all the cute box art - right as Revell's '68 is around the corner for cross-pollination...

It's been mentioned by an ex-Revell employee and others in the know that a '69 Chevelle SS is already planned for release after their '68 Chevelle SS, but in the meantime, people who can't or don't want to wait can enjoy the AMT kit.

If the 68 turns out to be a decent kit, then I might be in for one and also a 69. I would rather wait than reward Round2 with my money for a kit that has it's fair share of issues.

There are photos of the actual box art model for the Revell 68 Chevelle posted there.

I will also wait for the in person reviews by modelers who put their hands on this kit before I shell out any of my lunch money for this kit and others.

Bob Ellis Posted May 13, 2019 Posted May 13, 2019 I hear a lot of complaints about this kit. Bottom line; If you can whittle a better one, don't but the Round 2 kit. The side trim is easily fixed. Missing Link has the original style tailights so you can fix the rear end.
