da_ashman Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 Hey Guys This is my entry for the anual Cannonball Group Build, This years theme (which started out as my idea & snowballed) was Inline engines only. It was heaps of fun building alongside a bunch of great guys! & had a blast building this Silvia, the kit started out as an Aoshima Rasty S13 Silvia, which is most of the bodykit, Ive made so many mods to this one. Rear spoiler from Fugu Garage, rear bumper delete was scratchbuilt, Wheels are from C1 Models RWB kit, Striped interior set is from Fugu Garage, race seats from parts box, theres even an AK47 3D printed in there too! Engine & engine bay is from a Tamiya R32 GTR with Hobby Design turbos & lots of detailing & scratchbuilding. There are so many colours on this build, I wanted a soviet Camo scheme so choose a bunch of Tamiya & Mr Hobby colours that suited, Interior teal is what airplane modellers use for soviet aircraft which was from Vallejo. Had heaps of fun with this one! Go check out the other awesome builds! & vote too!!! Cheers Ash
FabbricaP Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 Awesome build. All that detailing is great
Ahajmano Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 This looks absolutely stunning!! how did you get the heated steel effect on the exhaust?
Italianhorses Posted December 12, 2018 Posted December 12, 2018 I like it! Not something you see built every day and the execution is top notch!
Funkychiken Posted December 13, 2018 Posted December 13, 2018 Wow Ash, that's a fantastic build! Love it
da_ashman Posted December 13, 2018 Author Posted December 13, 2018 Thanks heaps folks! Really appreciate all the comments & support!!
Jantrix Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 Like I told Mike earlier, when I saw that wicked paint job start to take shape, I knew we were in trouble for the Cannonball. A tremendous build.
Dann Tier Posted December 16, 2018 Posted December 16, 2018 Now that's different!!…..Well done though!!!!
Gumball Posted December 16, 2018 Posted December 16, 2018 Lol i mistook the 1st picture as some video game screenshot!
Lunajammer Posted December 17, 2018 Posted December 17, 2018 A risky but brilliant use of colors that totally paid off on a super clean build.
