Belugawrx Posted December 23, 2018 Posted December 23, 2018 (edited) This was a fun build,..decals were old and yellow so a new set from indycals.com ,. and first time using Future (or whatever it's called now) for a clear coat.. I brush on the Future to cover..let set overnight,. decalled it and brushed on another Future coat within an hour. Body panel paints are Duplicolor,...Chrome Yellow, and High Temp Caliper paint CSP732 Bright Blue. Stripped all chrome and gloss black Duplicolor and Alclad chromed the wheels Added some wiring, removed the front suspension to ease painting, masking, and decalling, then drilled, and pinned. All in all quick and easy,..well except for the turbo piping, that was an Elmer's slow dry hour, to get right... I didn't use the crash test dummy that comes with the kit. Thanks for looking Q,C&C's appreciated Cheers Edited December 23, 2018 by Belugawrx
ismaelg Posted December 23, 2018 Posted December 23, 2018 That looks fantastic! Great job. Love those Indy cars. I have a stalled Unser Jr. car somewhere.
bbowser Posted December 23, 2018 Posted December 23, 2018 Beautiful! Those kits are not easy to get together, great details. I love to see open-wheel cars on here, well done.
Hooked on Chaparral Posted December 24, 2018 Posted December 24, 2018 Great job! Bobby Rahals ride if, ahem, memory serves me right? Very clean build.
Gramps46 Posted December 24, 2018 Posted December 24, 2018 Super build with the Indy Car and thanks for sharing.
aurfalien Posted December 24, 2018 Posted December 24, 2018 This is superbly executed, well done. I love it!
Lunajammer Posted December 25, 2018 Posted December 25, 2018 That's a beauty. I too like the Indy cars. One of my earlier efforts was the MPC Rutherford MacLaren. I'd like to take a shot at that one again now that I'm older and wiser.

Curt Posted December 26, 2018 Posted December 26, 2018 Nice work, Bruce. We all need a relaxing change of subject once in a while.

That is exactly what this was Curt, thanks ...I just wanted to build an uncomplicated kit, mask and paint and decals are what I really wanted to do
Jim N Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 Great job! I have a few of these that I should move toward the front of the line. I can only hope that mine turn out as well as yours did.
