Harpo Posted December 23, 2018 Posted December 23, 2018 I stopped building models when I was fifteen. Forty nine years later - in February 2018 - I joined this Forum and started building again. I've had lots of fun; I've completed ten cars, three trucks, and one airplane. That's fourteen builds, but there's a fifteenth picture in this thread too. I didn't build it, but it was inspired by a model I built in May: a Citroen 2CV. I've always wanted one, and gazing at my model eventually broke down all resistance and caused me to take action. Six months later I took delivery of my 1:1 version, a total restoration to my very exacting specifications, built by Sander Aalderink in the Netherlands. I'm out of garage space for 1:1 cars now but I have plenty of space left for models, and I look forward to another year of building fun. Many thanks to all the fine people here for your inspiration and encouragement, and Merry Christmas! Garry
DumpyDan Posted December 23, 2018 Posted December 23, 2018 Nicely done, you didn't seem to lose any skills in the last 49 years. Great work and some of them are multi piece bodies too.
donb Posted December 23, 2018 Posted December 23, 2018 Those are some fine models Sir! Love that TR! Great year.
Gramps46 Posted December 23, 2018 Posted December 23, 2018 Very well done all of them. Welcome back to the fold.
bbowser Posted December 23, 2018 Posted December 23, 2018 Very eclectic group, all well done. My favorite is the flatbed with the dirt bike, very convincing weathering!
Dann Tier Posted December 23, 2018 Posted December 23, 2018 GREAT collection!, I really love that Triumph!!
espo Posted December 23, 2018 Posted December 23, 2018 The Triumph reminds me of a car a friend had many years ago. I like the creativity you put into each of your builds.

We lived in the mountains in southern California and we would race around the mountain at night, there wasn't much else to do.
BeakDoc Posted December 23, 2018 Posted December 23, 2018 Good to see the 49 year hiatus didn’t hurt the skills any. Love the variety of your builds! Here’s to ‘19 seeing more great builds from you.
ismaelg Posted December 23, 2018 Posted December 23, 2018 Nice variety! They all look great. And congrats on your 2CV. It looks better than new!
