oldcarfan Posted January 5, 2019 Posted January 5, 2019 Ahh, a beautiful day! After a few weeks of drizzly 30-40 degree days, I looked outside and it's sunny and in the 60s. I'm taking advantage of it to paint some bodies while I can and let them bake in the sun. I also like to sit on the porch and do body work because it make mold lines and scratches show up well.
Atmobil Posted January 5, 2019 Posted January 5, 2019 We are worlds apart, here we did not get proper daylight, it is raining and warm for the season (about 4 degrees C or 35ish F) but because the sun is hiding behind the rainy clouds we got "daylight" from about 11 in the morning until about 3 in the afternoon. That is a full 4 hours of daylight....and since it is raining and nasty outside it is best to stay inside.

Rob Hall Posted January 5, 2019 Posted January 5, 2019 The weather the last couple of days in Cleveland has been most unseasonable..in a good way. Close to 50 and sunny. A year ago it this time it was zero or below IIRC..
Deuces Posted January 6, 2019 Posted January 6, 2019 Global warming??? It was around 50 here today in Dearborn Mi.
Mike999 Posted January 6, 2019 Posted January 6, 2019 Beautiful day here too, after several days of cold and heavy rain. When I went out to get the mail, the whole neighborhood seemed to be out enjoying the day. A new neighbor was cutting bushes in her yard, so I went over to introduce myself. Kids were chasing each other on their trikes, also chasing another neighbor's goofy dog, who was having as much fun as the humans. We live on a little dead-end road, so they can do that safely.

Earlier this week, I never thought I would hear of possible delay for a certificate of occupancy (possibly delay inspectors) for one of our stores in Alamagordo, NM.....60 miles from the Mexican border Edited January 6, 2019 by HomerS
NYLIBUD Posted January 6, 2019 Posted January 6, 2019 Darn cold here in NY.And I heard something about getting snow next week.Blaaaaaa
Ace-Garageguy Posted January 6, 2019 Posted January 6, 2019 (edited) 67F here, with 31% humidity. Almost desert weather in the Swampeast mold and mildew capital of the world. Won't last, but I got a nice 2-hour hike in, opened up the house to air out, and will be heading for the bench as soon as I get a fresh pot of coffee going. Edited January 7, 2019 by Ace-Garageguy
High octane Posted January 7, 2019 Posted January 7, 2019 I had my "outside time" yesterday and raked up some more leaves. Those Pin Oaks don't know when to quit. Today I was outside on the deck spraying final coats on a model that I've been working on.
bobthehobbyguy Posted January 7, 2019 Posted January 7, 2019 Well its definitely not conducive to being outside here. Rain forecast for the week. Definitely something we need. Plans are to get some bench time along with other projects.
HomerS Posted January 19, 2019 Posted January 19, 2019 Two inches of rain today, up to eight inches of snow starting around 5p today and then temps Sunday night 0 to -5. That's okay I have my draft doggie in place to keep the cold air out. Okay it's actually 70 pounds of husky/mix that got too hot sleeping/hogging the couch so he went over to the tiled entry and roached....and snoring!
Rob Hall Posted January 19, 2019 Posted January 19, 2019 Been snowing since about 11am today...got a few inches of fresh snow on top of the 3-4 inches from last weekend. A few of the dogs ventured out in the yard a bit, the others didn't want to go off the covered patio. Arizona dogs, only in their 2nd NE Ohio winter.
