tbill Posted January 17, 2019 Posted January 17, 2019 Well, now that the prostar is done, it’s trailer time. I built one of these to put behind my lonestar, and have built the other refer trailer for my other prostar, both are nice trailers, but for some reason, I like the smooth side better. I’ll be using the roll up door ‘panel’ on this one. It’s going to be a stock looking trailer with ‘my’ logo on it in turquoise to match the truck. I think I’m going to use some 5 hole budds from double take replicas, and I may add the side air ‘foils’ underneath. Stay tuned .....
vincen47 Posted January 18, 2019 Posted January 18, 2019 Sounds like a great plan, looking forward to it.
Jim B Posted January 18, 2019 Posted January 18, 2019 Should be nice. Those trailers really take up a lot of real estate.
gotnitro? Posted January 18, 2019 Posted January 18, 2019 Looking forward to watching this come together !
gotnitro? Posted January 18, 2019 Posted January 18, 2019 Good use of detergent and cat chow Saw a trailer today w what appeared to be an air scoop underneath before the tandems , tried for a pic but it started moving
Jim B Posted January 18, 2019 Posted January 18, 2019 An air scoop? Wonder what that's for. Like this:
tbill Posted January 19, 2019 Author Posted January 19, 2019 I saw a set up like that at work awhile ago, that also got me thinking. I’ve also seen the ‘aero’ fairing stuff off the back of trailers , around the door area, those are just too ugly to try to make, haha.
tbill Posted January 20, 2019 Author Posted January 20, 2019 (edited) More glamorous pics, lol. I’m going to use double take replicas 5 hole budds on this just to be a little different this time. The axles will be trimmed back when I’m ready to put the wheels on. Thankfully, the wheels come with brake drums , which really made the wheel swap easy. I just drilled a hole thru the center of the drums to mount them on the axle . Edited January 20, 2019 by tbill Added info
gotnitro? Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 Looking good Tom ! Thanks Jim B for pic that's what I was referring to
tbill Posted January 20, 2019 Author Posted January 20, 2019 For those that haven’t seen one ‘live’ or built one of these,
iamsuperdan Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 Beauty trailers, but mine doesn't fit in my display cabinet! So the Prostar stays in there, the trailer is unfortunately on top of a shelf. So if one trailer doesn't fit, why do I keep buying more trucks and trailers?! lolz. I really need to get out to Ikea or something and grab a larger cabinet.
tbill Posted January 20, 2019 Author Posted January 20, 2019 Get ahold of Gary Wallace , he makes these display cases, not cheap, but work out very well for rig builds, and he builds them to suit your needs.
Jim B Posted January 22, 2019 Posted January 22, 2019 Nice looking wheels. I like the sticker on your paint booth.

Oldmopars Posted January 25, 2019 Posted January 25, 2019 I like it, the logo look great. I also like the white wheels. It makes it look like an average working trailer, not some show piece.
