PatW Posted February 11, 2019 Posted February 11, 2019 I don't build many military kits but this took my fancy, with fully flexible central connector with 6 wheel drive. Oh I may have gone overboard with the camo!
Anglia105E Posted February 11, 2019 Posted February 11, 2019 Pat..... you have chosen a particularly interesting military vehicle, and the driver figure looks good. Central connector and 6-wheel drive, like it. The effect on the tyres is just right. I used to build military vehicles a long time ago, and I seem to remember them being 1:32 scale. What scale is this model of yours Pat? David
PatW Posted February 11, 2019 Author Posted February 11, 2019 Thanks David. The scale is 1/35th. It has a jointed drive shaft off the back of the tractor unit, so it can go over steep peaks keeping all wheels on the ground! Here is the 'connector' in the down position, hinged across the centre.
89AKurt Posted February 12, 2019 Posted February 12, 2019 Looks like a fun project! I have a few military kits to do for a break from shiny.
Anglia105E Posted February 12, 2019 Posted February 12, 2019 I have never worked in 1:35 scale, but might try it one day. My favourite scale is 1:24 and now discovering 1:43 scale which offers a much greater choice of model cars from the 1950's especially. David
PatW Posted February 12, 2019 Author Posted February 12, 2019 Thanks guys. Yes David, I've built 1/24-1/25-1/43-1/32 all civilian cars. This is my first 1/35 scale and very a satisfying well made kit to Tamiya's superb standards
