1320wayne Posted April 28, 2019 Author Posted April 28, 2019 More progress. The engine is installed and I've got to work on the turbos and more plumbing and wiring.
1320wayne Posted May 5, 2019 Author Posted May 5, 2019 More progress. I"ve got some of the turbo plumbing completed along with the drivers side exhaust. The bullhorn is removable so that I can add and remove the front clip. I also started on the tire lettering. And the clear coat has been applied.
1320wayne Posted May 16, 2019 Author Posted May 16, 2019 More updates. Fuel cell and puke tank attached and plumbed along with the rest of the turbo plumbing and exhaust.
1320wayne Posted June 1, 2019 Author Posted June 1, 2019 More progress. Fire extinguishers mounted, driveshaft installed and the wheel tubs are shaped, decaled and cleared.
1320wayne Posted June 12, 2019 Author Posted June 12, 2019 I wasn't completely satisfied with the clear coat as it appeared to be thin in a few areas so I sanded the finish down smooth and added a couple more coats of two part urethane.
1320wayne Posted June 16, 2019 Author Posted June 16, 2019 Working on the interior. Drivers net, race harness, steering column and some miscellaneous wiring.
1320wayne Posted June 23, 2019 Author Posted June 23, 2019 More interior detailing done. Racepak computer, steering wheel, rear extinguishers mounted and plumbed. Also started on hinging the doors. The drivers door is complete.
1320wayne Posted June 27, 2019 Author Posted June 27, 2019 Passenger side door is hinged now as well. Also finished all of the interior parts and wiring. Now it's on to the exterior finish pieces like the glass, chutes, fasteners and tighten it all up to call it done.

1320wayne Posted July 7, 2019 Author Posted July 7, 2019 I think one more update before I put the finishing touches on this one. Both doors are done, painted the inside of the body and added extensions to the exhaust so the bullhorns will stick out where they need to be.
rondo3154 Posted July 10, 2019 Posted July 10, 2019 Your car looks awesome, where did you source the black braided lines you used for your remote oil filters and fuel cell? They look very close to 1:1 light weight stuff that isn't S.S. braided. Thanks, Ron W
TarheelRick Posted July 11, 2019 Posted July 11, 2019 Fantastic detail work. Love the whole build on this one. I do have one question: Where do the 'A' pillars connect to the chassis/body? It seems without some connection that roof would rip off on a 200 mph pass.

It looks like high pressure line and because it's elastic it bends without collapsing.
