Willy Survive Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 Great looking build of my favorite driver ever. Even though I was about 9 years old when he retired. Something about Bobby that I was always just drawn to. I want to build this when the Model King reissue comes out next month. You've really set the standard very high. Great job. -Will
RadRidesByDan Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 Excellent build and photography....the detailing and decal work is fantastic.
Daniel Peterson Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 And here I was expecting a DeLorean... I confess I am not a huge fan of today's NASCAR vehicles...but boy do I like the older stock cars...you know, like when they were at least remotely stock? This is gorgeous!
cruz Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 As usual, phenomenal work on this my friend, these are the only Nascar models I would put together if I was to build one. Decals and paint are great!!! Thanks for sharing!!!
Nick F40 Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 As usual, phenomenal work on this my friend, these are the only Nascar models I would put together if I was to build one. Decals and paint are great!!! Thanks for sharing!!! Same here. I like how it ACTUALLY looks like a '72 Monte Carlo and has an ACTUAL stock engine.
David Thibodeau Posted September 9, 2008 Author Posted September 9, 2008 Thanks for the warm positive responses guys... Glad you all liked it.... Marc Nellis- The paint is Tamiya gold and PPG "Flame Red" a GM color shot over grey primer. Followed by PPG Omni clear. Mr Downie- This is the original kit that Model king redid.
