A month or so ago I met up with a woman who was selling a few model car kits. She and her ex husband both own Shelby Cobras. She actually took me to show them to me.  Her’s was a 1968 and his I think a 1969 or 70. When met to exchange money. One model was of a cobra she had done years ago. Brush painted. Parts glued in the wrong places. You can see it in the last photo. I told her I was going to rebuild it for her and try and duplicate her Cobra. Here is the end result. I had bought the white GT 500 stripes but when I went to put them on. They fell apart. I just have no luck with decals.

The 67 convertible is a fairly rare kit.  Nice score if you picked that up.  It's not the most accurate kits but it's not bad.  As for the decals - all the reissues of that kit should have them.  Old decals can be a problem.  Nice job on the gold paint.  I built that kit about 40 years ago in that color.

Thank you Al, Rex and Michele. The big kit is compete Rex. But the windshield posts are broken at the bottom. I figured I could still piece it together if I decide to keep it. Heather, the woman I bought this stuff from. Is thrilled and is going to drive her Shelby to meet me so I can give my Shelby to her. I'm so happy she wants it. She wanted something like $15 for everything but she was so nice. I gave her quite a bit more. Recently divorced. I didn't want to take advantage of her. She did have a 1965 Mustang that had been up on blocks in a dry garage for 30 years. Body and frame had no rust at all. 6 cylinder with a 3 speed manual. I should have grabbed it. But she sold it to a friend of hers for $1500. I hesitated when I shouldn't have. And I was going to offer her more as she had no idea what it was really worth. She also has her mom's 1975 plain Jane Camaro. Never saw rain or snow. That too is a 6 cilynder with a manual 3 speed. I tried to get that but she's not ready to sell.
