JollySipper Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 I guess I've kinda fallen into a niche with my building style, that being the mild custom..... Got this kit in a trade with a pretty cool guy here, it's on the bench now. I'm using the back glass from a Moebius Chrysler to give this Bird a speedster style windscreen...... Some filler to fill where the windshield falls short of fitting the cowl.... Hopefully you'll follow along, thanks for looking, and comment freely!

bobthehobbyguy Posted June 27, 2019 Posted June 27, 2019 Cool project. Not that many tbirds customized. Nice start.
Modlbldr Posted June 28, 2019 Posted June 28, 2019 I like the idea of the windshield. What other ideas do you have in mind? I'll be watching this one. I did a mild custom 56 T-Bird a couple years ago and liked it enough that I may do another one soon with some different ideas.

I noticed that while looking at pics for inspiration...... I guess the baby Birds are too cool to really need customization... 9 hours ago, Modlbldr said: I like the idea of the windshield. So far I have planned to shave some stuff, and use some chrome reverse wheels and wide whites......
Modlbldr Posted June 28, 2019 Posted June 28, 2019 Ah, going with more of a period custom. I went with a more modern custom. The most radical, yet subtle, change I made was to cut the headlight buckets off, pie cut the front fenders and reattach the buckets. This lowered the height of the nose just a bit over 1/16 inch. http:// Later-
