Aurora had a Chapparral kit with engine a long time ago, wonder where those molds went? They had the original Ford GT also released. Monogram brought out the European sports car that Aurora had but not the road racers. I got my Chapparal when it was released under the WWII fighters decal set was in the kits.

I'm not sure how I missed this earlier, but this is a really fine build of one of my favorite racing cars, one that I was fortunate enough to see race in person. Sorry to hear about Ron - he was obviously an excellent builder.

I don't think I've seen one of these built before and had no idea they were such well done kits. Simple, but well proportioned. I owned one of the Lola kits for a while, but to me it never looked quite right and I sold it off.

Thanks. I'm working up the courage to attempt to build my IMC 2E kit. That should be a challenge! LOL.

I built the IMC 2E kit a few years ago.  It really wasn't terrible.  Best advice I can give you is test fit EVERYTHING!!  it is very difficult to get everything to line up properly, but it can be done.

Question for you....did you use the kit decals on your build or aftermarket???  If you used aftermarket, whose did you use??

Stephen , Ron passed last year but this build thread shows what looks to be the kit decals .

While Ron never had a chance to build the 2E he did build the Arii 2C kit . . .
