ranma
With some minor cutting, and a little alteration A Transtar 4200 made from a Transtar 4300 kit. The only part's cut down was the hood, and the bandjo air cleaner. altered parts are the rear cab mount and the exhaust system. The cab mount was moved forward on the frame from it's original location on the 4300 frame. Thus a 4200 made from a Transtar 4300 kit. I painted the truck to match the Original 4200's molded in colors
fivesuns
Good looking International. I wouldn't know the difference between a 4200 vs a 4300, but your truck looks right factory to me.

DRIPTROIT 71
Nice work! I like the conversion too, even the color reminds me of the old 4200. I had a similar project in mind but backward from yours. I hope to do a back dated 4300 like the older4200 kit some day. Looks Awesome! Great work again!!

Goodwrench3
I had heard that the 4300 kit built out of the box needs to have the front axle moved a bit so the front wheels are centered in the fenders. Is this true ? Thanks

Sledsel
Nice looking conversion. Did you move the cab forward? Engine clearance ok? Darn..... now I need a second truck to build the 4200. Gee thanks! LOL

Yes the cab, and rear cab mount were moved forward. back of the engine almost meets the cab leaving very little space between them.

Thanks... I guess you just be careful how much of the hood you trim.
