Randy Kern Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 I wanted to do this in a '70s street machine style, with a close to factory color like the mint green Chevy had. I used Dupli-Color Hampstead Green Metallic for the paint, Cragars and tires from the Revell '37 Ford kit, engine wiring and hoses, solder exhaust from the muffler back, with aluminum tube tips, '60s style tach on the column, and R&M Co of Md resin valve stems. Thanks for looking!
Daniel Peterson Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 I had that exact car, same color and everything...except it had rallyes insteat of mags...and a six...and an automatic. Come to think of it, it wasn't an SS, had a flat hood and was a good bit larger. It also went hrough fuel filters like nobody's business. You know, I suppose this means I like yours a darn sight better than mine. Great job!
70elcamino Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 you did a great job, good stance. Russell
catpack68 Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 nice work randy.i really like the cragar wheels and the stance.i like the color choice too.

Raul_Perez Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 Great job, Randy!! Based on the license plate, I expect to see a real "dog-faced" driver riding this one around town!! Later,
lizardlust Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 (edited) Based on the license plate, I expect to see a real "dog-faced" driver riding this one around town!! Maybe with the tunnel-ram Chumley's bite IS worse than his bark?!? Super sano buildup, Randy - the color choice and execution is gorgeous!!! Edited September 16, 2008 by lizardlust

bsoder Posted September 21, 2008 Posted September 21, 2008 Can't really add much!!...just a great looking Nova, that color is PERFECT
Jeff Johnston Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 In 67 that color was called Emerald Turquoise, and it is one of my favorite GM colors...great build. I like the fact that you gave it that mean hunkered down look, yet did so with the Drag hood and bigger rear tires. Very tastefully done !!!
RodneyBad Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Awesome built for an excellent kit. Looks clean and perfect..
