Lowlife ! ! Posted August 30, 2019 Posted August 30, 2019 Hi guys...... Getting back into the models after a bit of a break, and joined in a build off on another forum. Now ive no idea about trucks, never built one, just googled pics and hope for the best ! Heres the kit im starting with........
Lowlife ! ! Posted August 30, 2019 Author Posted August 30, 2019 So i wanted it long and low, most things i build are low and this was a real test ! First things first, cut up a photo copy and mess about with it for ideas..... Heres the plan !
Lowlife ! ! Posted August 30, 2019 Author Posted August 30, 2019 Found a couple of wheels and tyres in the spares box which looked okay, ultra low profiles but with horrid centres. So i used the backs of the wheels with the original truck hubcaps modified to fit ! Still looked a little small even though the actual wheel was bigger, so i painted the rim black to blend in with the tyre ! After cutting off the front suspension and chopping up the sump ive got this, about the right height !

Lowlife ! ! Posted September 1, 2019 Author Posted September 1, 2019 Thans guys... Hereis the new chassis section added from sheet plastic, engine started, and started to make up new suspension on the front, i`ll be adding air bags later !

Lowlife ! ! Posted October 22, 2019 Author Posted October 22, 2019 Wow its been awhile, been busy building and not updating this ! Still raining, and too cold, to paint the bodywork here but the rest is almost done ! Front suspension, extended propshaft, new recovered radiator ( in chrome of course ! ) and rear end is complete. Added 49 merc tailights too, and theres a bit of gold plating going in as well ! More pics soon when i get to paint it !
