dragmodels44 Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 Hey Guys, just wanted to post a pic of my Duel movie scene. I finally finished the truck and car. I’ll be starting the diorama soon. Thanks for looking. Next will be a movie/TV car museum diorama. Thanks for looking.
Anglia105E Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 Now this is going to be good, Steve...... the truck looks fantastic, and I can't wait to see the diorama build in progress....... ' Duel ' was one of my all time favourite movies, by the way. David
dragmodels44 Posted September 8, 2019 Author Posted September 8, 2019 Thank you! I’m trying to decide which scenery to go with...probably as he’s chasing him down the road or where he’s pushing him into the speeding train. Either way it’ll all be in a 1/18 display case. I already did the Vanishing Point ending scene where he’s driving into the bulldozers as he’s being chased by the police!
David G. Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 Looks like a great start. I have two questions. What scale are you working in? Where the heck did you find a model of a 1960 Peterbilt? David G.
Anglia105E Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 You have done a nice job on this build so far, Steve....... and I was also wondering where you got hold of a 1960 Peterbilt model truck..... looks like 1:25 or 1:24 scale to me? David
webestang Posted February 3, 2020 Posted February 3, 2020 You are my hero......!!! Fantastic build.....I have always wanted to build that truck and car from that flick. ?
dragmodels44 Posted February 12, 2020 Author Posted February 12, 2020 Hello all, I’ve been away from this for a while. The truck was a resin kit and the car was complete but reworked to look more like the movie car, they both came from eBay, from Australia! They are 1/87, ho scale. I still need to finish the backdrop
c. jackson Posted September 18, 2020 Posted September 18, 2020 excellent work! i saw that movie as a premier; it was the talk of the neighborhood.
