Junkman
This has been ongoing since 2016. It's a partwork in 1/24. I don't have all of them, just the ones I like. They started it with this DS 23 Pallas: Sadly all models come with this vast array of waste paper. Gramps46
The Hachette line is a great line and over the years has expanded to include county by county favorites. I currently have a Citroen DS station wagon on order. Unfortunately Hatchette does not import to the USA and we have to order through dealers in Europe. About 2 years ago Hachette announced an American line but I have never seen it advertised.
Junkman
The American line was just a "test" and comprises of only four models. Anyway, in the Series I'm showing here, I skipped #s 2 and 3, a Renault 8 Gordini and a 2CV Chaleston respectively, simply on the grounds that I have the Welly ones. So next in line was #4, a Simca Aronde P60. #5 was the Peugeot 404.
Junkman
#6 - a Fiat 500 - I skipped again because I have them in many an iteration already. But then it became interesting again. #7 was this Renault 4L Parisienne: My mom had one of these when I was still a little one. #8 was this Panhard Dyna Z: Yes, them's the taillights on the rear wings fenders. Sam I Am
I have been looking at your different threads and all I can say is WoW ! I really appreciate the cars in your eclectic collection and am looking forward to seeing more.
Junkman
Wahey, thank you so much!
Junkman
Anyway, #9 was a VW T1 Kombi Bus, which I skipped. But I got #10, this Citroen Ami6. #11 was this Simca Chambord V8. #12, a Peugeot 205 GTI was again skipped, because I have zero interest in such cars. #13 was this Citroen H van. It's hitherto the only model in the series that has a moving part. And #14 was this Renault 16. For obvious reasons, I bought two of them. Just for fun, I dusted off my old Barlux caravan. Everything plus the kitchen sink. And look.
peekay
Nice models of subjects you won't get in this scale otherwise. I had the Morris Minor Traveller but it looked too big next to my other 1:24th stuff. "For obvious reasons, I bought two of them." You own a real one if memory serves (which it increasingly doesn't). Earl Marischal
Nice models. Any sign of a Panhard 24CT? One of the prettiest cars of the 1960s to my mind. steve
grodudulle77
Very nice collection of french cars ,it reminds me of memories of my childhood ! ??
Junkman
Well, let's continue with #15 then, shall we? Well, I skipped it, because it's only a Porsche 911S. But I got #16. Sadly it has LHD and French plates. I'm a member of a French forum and even there the general consensus was they'd have much preferred it RHD with British plates and a GB sticker on the back. I took some measurements and the model is bang on 1/24 scale, like hitherto every model in the series I have. #17 was this Daphne Dauphine. #18, a Simca 1000 Rally 2. #19 was this Cadillac Jacqueline Peugeot 204. #20 was a Matra Bagheera. Junkman
#21, Citroen 11CV, a real one of which is currently on my shopping list. I then again forfeited #s 22. 23 and 24, a Jaaaag E-Type, Renault R5 Alpine and VW Beetle respectively, because I find it too ugly, have no interest in it whatsoever and have too many already, also respectively. Hence I continue with #25, this Citroen SM. #26, a '64.5 Mustang convertible was again skipped, #27 was this Panhard PL17. #28, a Peugeot 203 Decapotable. #29, a Golf GTI, was again skipped because I couldn't care less, but #30 more than made up for it. Junkman
Skipped were #30 Austin Mini Cooper S #31 Alpine A110 1600 Which neatly brings us to #32. Skippage ensued for #34, a Range Rover. Just about when I started to regret this, Whitebox announced to reissue it in their lineup, even with the steering wheel on the correct side and in the colour my real one was. #35 was this Citroen GS. #36 Ford Vedette. #37, a '63 Corvette Stingray, was skipped, so on to #38. I said Panhard 24 CT, Steve! #39, Citroen Mehari. And #40, a Renault 5 Turbo, was duly ignored.
Junkman
#41 was a Simca Marly. #42, a Saab 96 V4. #43, a Citroen Dyane, I skipped again, because I have it from Leo Models. But #44 just was a must have - a Renault Estafette van with the high roof! #45 a BMW 2002, was skipped because the Welly is better, but #46 was duly acquired. So was #47, a Renault Fregate. #48 was this French Gremlin, a Peugeot 104 ZS. #49, a Renault Alpine A310 #50 was this Peugeot 504. Yes, the Welly has existed for a good few years, but it's a late version, while this one is an early one. Rob Hall
These are sweet. I have a couple of the WhiteBox releases which are available in the US.
Junkman
Hey, thanks! Please show us your Whiteboxes. In the meantime, I continue with #51, a Renault 12 Gordini. #52, a Chrysler 180. #53 was this Citroen 2CV van. #54, a Peugeot 403. #55, Renault Floride. #56, Citroen CX. #57, a Peugeot 305 I skipped, but #58, a Simca Versailles, is here. #59 was this Renault 5. #60 was this very, very early Citroen DS 19. All the pieces to build such an early example are included in the Ebbro kit, but not mentioned on the instruction sheet.
peekay
Truly a great looking series. (And thanks for almost single-handedly beefing up this section.)
