Hey folks,

My buddy Todd Hilton, recently passed away and I had agreed to help his wife move all his cars if something happened to him.   So I have all of his cars at my house now...  Around a 200 piece collection, from old Revell and Majorette diecasts, up the grand prize, a pristine FM 1968 Chevelle SS396 convertible with ALL the stuff. outer and inner boxes, docs, top, boot, gloves, tool.   I think that will be his highest dollar piece.   Quite a few Corvettes too.  I asked a mod if I could do this and said I could have folks request list.  I am NOT selling on this page.   I would love his stuff go to other collectors like us, who will appreciate the cars.  My wife already said I can't buy them all.  I only have eyes on a couple - LOL.  Our collections didn't overlap much which worked great.

There are a LOT of nice Welly and Bburago diecasts as well in there, mostly Euro sports stuff in those.  Something for every price point.  I was surprised at how NICE some of the Euro cars are.

There are a few plastic kits and built ups on there.  Todd didn't build but was having me build them for him in exchange for cash and/or other diecasts.

So... if you would like a list of the cars available, PM or email me with your email.  I have an Excel sheet or could make it a PDF as well.   I am not done yet.   Around halfway I think and have already sold a few pieces sold.  I will try to update it as possible.  I'm not making anything on this deal, just covering my expenses and sending everything back to Todd's widow.   I have not entered prices on the sheet yet and may not.  everything is open to negotiation.  Be fair guys.  I don't have time to llok up hte value of every piece and part.   We all know welly should be $10 - $20.   the higher dollar stuff I can look up, and the Revell and Majorette - just make an offer.    And feel free to spread the word.  There is a Facebook page I will try to update with individual photos as I can.  But there is an album with most everything shown, but not real clear.  An ebay page as well.  Search toddhilton on either format or I can send you a link.

And I am not sure where all the pieces are yet.  I have totes and boxes filled with cars.  We didn't inventory, just boxed and loaded.   Took 7 hours for just that.  Some loose cars too.  Todd kept everything in enclosed displays so nothing is more than dusty and most are like they just came out of the box.

I don't know how to do international shipping unless I run it through my personal ebay page.  We can do that though.  His page I created is too new to allow apparently?

Thanks

Thanks Randy...

I understand that liquidating a collection can be difficult work.  Indeed  - I'd ask for a copy of the inventory on hand in whatever format seems best for you.

Here is what I have so far.  At the bottom is a list of TOPS he had separated from the cars, but I think there is a car to go with each top.   So if you see a car there, let me know - I will endeavour to catalog the rest of the cars this week and weekend.   Make a reasonable offer on anything and we can go from there.  I have no emotional attachemnt to these so I can be fair.  Plus I need to get them gone.

I should be able to make good deals on everything but The 68 SS396 convertible.  that's a high dollar car and deserves to bring good money ($200+)

I will have updated list as I add more.  hopefully next update will be full list.

Take a look and let me know if you have any questions.  I'll be glad to answer.   And keep in mind, there are still a LOT of the lower end cars I haven't added to list.   I know we like the lower end stuff on here too. Some of the Aston Welly/Nex cars are very nice shelf replicas.  I was amazed at how nice they look.

Thanks

Randy

I'm trying to be.  And I do enjoy the selling part.  The worst part is packing them to mail.  I'm a project manager by trade, so I'm naturally drawn to a big project.  And I did agree to help.  I don't want his collection sold for pennies on the dollar.

Randy, I admire your willingness to help Todd's widow.  From what I have seen Todd was a serious collector with a lot of taste in his subjects.

I am amazed at how he thought out the displays and how good he made the cars look.  Even the "lowly" Welly cars look like a million bucks when lit and arranged just right.  And most everything is spotless.   I don't know how often he dusted, but he kept everything in top shape.   Everything was in a case or closed curio, which stil can attract some dust.  The cars are pretty much spotless.   The big hole is late 40's through mid 60's. which is my favorite era.   So we worked well together - we didn't bid against each other much when acquiring new cars.   Put our stuff together and you'd have a pretty thorough diecast collection...

Randy, you have my email--send me the list when you have it ready. B)

I hope to have the list completed by the end of the weekend.   I'm up to about 175 cars listed, whcih should be most of them.  however, I havene't cataloged where they all are at my place - which container they are in and any details.   Original boxes for the majority of the collection.   I'll send it when I get it completed.   And cars are selling already from the few ebay listings I have already posted.

I have the final updated list of Todd's cars.   I will try to send a list to those of you that requested previously.  Anyone else can send me a PM and I'll send you a list.

Thanks

See if this works.  Should be an Excel spreadsheet.  Let me know if it doesn't.  Out of 190 cars on there, he had maybe 5-6 that interested me.   So no big deal if you don't find anything

Thanks for asking

Randy
