High octane Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 Lookin' real good Geno, however I noticed that the snorkel air cleaner is not correct for that car. I just love dem B-body Mopars!
Geno Posted November 25, 2019 Author Posted November 25, 2019 (edited) Thanks guys, yeah Nick I know, i was going with what I had in my spares box that was close to the dual snorkel pics I've seen online. It's not attached so I may have to rethink that lol. This is the look of the one I was going for, just with a Chrome lid.? Edited November 25, 2019 by Geno

mustang1989 Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 This shot could almost pass for the real deal. Excellent exterior work.
1972coronet Posted November 26, 2019 Posted November 26, 2019 Those 'Thermostatic' air cleaners didn't appear until the 1970 model year . The twin snorkel air cleaners --as applied to the high-perf engines-- were typically part of the N97 Noise Reduction Package ( typically , a California-destined option ; that usually excluded embellished tail pipes as well ) . The air cleaner from the Revell 1968-1969 Dart and Charger kits will have the correct "unsilenced" air cleaner .

The Coronet R/T comes standard with a 440 Magnum engine and the air cleaner has NO snorkels at all.

randyc Posted November 26, 2019 Posted November 26, 2019 More cleacoat? It looks perfect to me for a real car just as is. Just the right amount of shine.
