Brizio Posted November 27, 2019 Posted November 27, 2019 This is a snap on style kit, of an anusual car. A Skoda Favorit! Pretty common car in the East Europe, above all in what was the Czechoslovakia, now Czech Republic and Slovakia. The kit is composed from few parts and is overall (for a snap-on stile) well made. The company who made it was Smer with Heller. Here the pictures! Instructions Body and clear plastic parts All the rest of the parts Decals, real decals not waterslide...
Reuhkapelti2 Posted November 27, 2019 Posted November 27, 2019 Well that's as simple kit as it can be. You gonna build it box stock or make all kind of extras to it? My friend drives rally with Scoda Favorit (other cars too). What a cool litle racer.

I'm going to make some modifications and add few details. The one thing I'm going to keep it, is the rally part! Nice, I did few rallies when I was in Europe, but never drove a Favorit. Impreza WRC, Peugeot, Citroen and few Deltas.
Brizio Posted November 27, 2019 Author Posted November 27, 2019 This is the other Favorit kit I have and is the stock car. This one on the bix says that is made in Czechslovakia.

Brizio Posted November 28, 2019 Author Posted November 28, 2019 I start to work on the interior, cutting the rear seat and rebuilding the floor and rear part of the car.
stitchdup Posted November 29, 2019 Posted November 29, 2019 Thats kinda cool, I believe its the last skoda model before vw took them over. While its a different scale, how doea it compare size ways to 24 and 25? I ask because I'm going to have to try and find one if they compare well enough to not look out of place with my other vw family stuff

With other cars in 1/24-25 it looks smaller. This one from bumper to bumper measure 1340.64mm that make the car 1/2856... Ifthe car was 1/24 should measure from bumper to bumper 158.9583mm. A noticeable difference.

The Bartoletti Cobra Transporter is make out of thin cardboard. Here few example of some fully scratchbuilt models I made using thin cardboard. Something easy and fun... The Supermuffler, on a 50's Corvette chassis. Hood open and close. Replica of a 1950 Cadillac "Le Monstre" that raced at Le Mans. Hood and door open/close. One of the biggest scratchbuilt I made. The Bartoletti Cobra Transporter. The Daytonas are Gunze kit.
