Started the Frink style plow hitch today since we just went on Christmas holiday at work. Few sections of evergreen angle, sheet and strips created the profiles . I have plow lights coming from vcg resins , really looking forward to adding them . The square tube poking out will be replaced w a longer section that will hold the wing support post up The plow lifting cylinder will attach to the wide angle piece

gotnitro?
I tried hand at making gaskets , really worked well if I'd paid attention to lining up trim before gluing. Used scrap of 015 for gasket. The gasket on drivers side A pillar was off , I trimmed it back and added a strip inside that still needs sanding The detailed springs photo bombed the pic too, small pe etch and copper wire U bolts make them pop
gotnitro?
Fabbed up the rear fenders too, the 1- 1 had these enormous diamond plate rolled fenders . I had some remaining 020 plastruct sheet that looked perfect. I rolled some KnS 008 tin around paint can then attached the plastic . And mocked everything up... One issue that arose was the need for a spacer under hopper . Quick piece of square tube fixed that

gotnitro?
Thanks everyone I appreciate the feedback ! I really wanted to utilize the steerable knuckles on the front axle. Looking at photos of the steering system really had me doubting I could create the arms and have them work. Well, I'm a year older and must be more patient... my buddy sent a brochure photo that got the ball rolling.. I chucked up some solid evergreen rod in my dremel and slowly turned the profile into the rod. Drilling out the ends where the ball joint would be.. Making more pins from rod , and swaging the ends..and it actually worked !!!
gotnitro?
I started assembly on Ryan's one way plow , adding the springs and main mount . Theres a bunch of details to add yet . Its so nice having these plows available again

mikemodeler
Really enjoying watching this one come together and seeing the detailed scratch building. I am always in awe of those that can take a pile of plastic stock and create masterpieces like this!
gotnitro?
Had a few minutes to putter today , decided to hang the plow on the truck hitch to see how everything looked. while I had the Meng bolts out I detailed out the side plates too.. lastly a full mockup .. later I'll add the lifting cylinder and other small parts I've left off . It's getting very close to having to permanently install the side wing post w bracing. Then I'll tackle the wing tower and spreader cab guard ! Pete68
Looks very nice it’s ashamed you have to put the wet stuff on it soon then every thing will just blend together thankfully you took a lot of pic of the build. Keep the scratch going
