Archer decal rivets

Has anyone used these? Can they survive masking if you want a multi-color rig? How robust are they when in place and set (dry)?

Hey Tom, I have a project in mind where these might be my answer. I watched a video how to and it seems to me they should be applied AFTER painting. I haven't heard of them, much less used them, before your post but that is probably the way I would try to apply them. Then I'd clear coat over top.

I'm curious now myself.

I recently used MicoMark rivet decals.  I would not wish to learn the hard way about masking, but would think after you apply them over light primer, and then more primer before color, might work.

I have used them before. Put them on bare plastic before primer. Used Tamiya primer over them. Look great over painting. I have not tried masking over them, but I have never had luck masking over decals that have been clear coated - they still pulled up.

I used them on a Freightliner, unforunately, I used the "O" scale 5/8 rivets. Should have used the 7/8"

Taping over them even after primer or paint, they will probably lift off.
