I use solid rod (not tubing) and bend it with my fingers or round needle nose pliers. I then heat the bend over a candle to release the tension and set the shape. I melt plastic bits in liquid cement and use it as weld on the joints. Super glue can work too but can be brittle if you have to make adjustments. Various files help me cleanup the joint.
