JollySipper Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Been working on a 250 testa rossa from Hasegawa......... It really is a nice kit. You can barely see it, but there's a 'gasket' painted under the carbs and I attempted to paint the valve cover bolts........... 1

johnyrotten Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Started wrapping this one up. Had to re-spray the front chrome. Fusionfirm will leave a fingerprint if you don't use the varnish, long story there. 2

I buy my own white or clear backed decal paper and run it through our ordinary printer, two coats of gloss clear each dried for at least an hour. then ready to cut out and dip in warm to hot water. I tried that, but we otherwise use the printer so little anymore it's usually not worth it. Do the decals you make come out pretty opaque? I've had some trouble with the laser printer making some colors a little transparent.

As long as the colour cartridges are reasonably new the colour comes out crisp and bright.

Oddly enough though I only did that combo once with my custom 1965 Bonneville. Looks very nice so far, can wait to see it done. 1

If I can manage not to screw up the chrome again(3rd time), should be pretty soon. That interior really pops in the sunlight. Thanks for the compliment. 2
