Finally the Artesian Turquoise has been applied! Received the clear styrene for the rear and side windows, then onto foiling. Gotta paint the inner fenders first though.

I think I saw that car at Muskego Beach when I was a kid.  Yea, Mom used to take us there on hot days with the Buick Special.  That one had a lumpy idle V6 that I can remember!

Perfect Wisconsin car - even in the winter!

Thanks guys! Much appreciated! I do wish I would have kept that car. I remember many time riding in the back seat on the way to the lake to go fishing with my grandparents. Cane pole pan fishing on the end of the dock. Fond memories!

I live in Muskego! The amusement park is long gone and condos occupy it's space. When I was a kid growing up in Milwaukee our Catholic Grade school had a yearly trip to Muskego Beach. Later on it got named Dandelion Park. I knew some Nowickis in the day. I went to Saint Lawrence, Notre Dame and Pulaski High. Back to our original program.

Me too! Just moved here in 2019. Lived in EasTroy most of my life though but remember driving past the amusement park when I was a kid on the way to relatives. Now driving down Janesville Rd I can still remember exactly where it was.

I hope you cast this one before you painted it. The proportions of the roof and doors in relation to the rest of the body look dead on. The paint application looks great as well.

Gregory, my Dad went to Pulaski - but that was way way way long ago    

I grew up in NewBerlin and went to Catholic school for 3 years before transfer to the dark side.  It was good for me.  I could have turned out bad.  Thank my parents for tough love if you know what I mean.  

Now I remember that amusement park.  Remember vividly all excited on a hot summer day, running up to go on the Tilt A Whirl. I stopped dead in my tracks when even after I smelled the pungent aroma, I saw the recycled spaghetti on the stairs up to the ride.  Golly, I can still smell it.

Now back to that Chevelle 300 sedan, Dave.  Take us for a ride back in memory lane when you get er tuned and ready to hit the road.

Thanks David! Much appreciated. Unfortunately I am not nearly skilled enough in the casting dept for that! I should’ve looked around to see if someone would be interested in doing so for me.

Well, after sitting on the bench for a year I’m finally getting back to this! I’ve added a small piece of styrene to where the column shifter should be. After a little shaping I drilled a .025 hole where the lever will go. The lever was made from .025 stainless steel wire bent to the correct angle and then a small piece of .062 round stock added to the end and for the shifter knob. Chrome accents were done with a Molotov pen. I love that pen!

I mixed up a paint color as best as I could get to the factory secondary color for the interior and added that to the seats, door panels and dash pad. The dash was detailed with some factory black accents and added the chrome trim with, again, the Molotov pen! That was also used to do the chrome trim on the door panels. Did I mention I love that pen!  Finally before the interior assembly can begin, I added some embossing powder for carpet using Testors clear parts glue. Got that carpet tip right here on the forum! 

After that, I got a little foil work done getting ever so close to getting the body on. Finish foiling, install wind shield and side windows before that happens though. Progress, progress!    I know I might get some flack for not modifying the door panels to portray the four door look but my talent and budget only goes so far! Lol!  Enjoy. Comments always welcome.
