cobraman Posted February 28, 2020 Posted February 28, 2020 (edited) Built this by request of my BIL as a replica of the one her bought new in 77 . Got it as close as I could . Not perfect but it should make him happy . Edited February 29, 2020 by cobraman spelling
Tom Geiger Posted February 28, 2020 Posted February 28, 2020 Looks great! It’s fun to give models you built as gifts. Let us know his reaction!
slusher Posted February 29, 2020 Posted February 29, 2020 Really sharp Datsun, Ray!! So nicely done..
PappyD340 Posted February 29, 2020 Posted February 29, 2020 Super nice Datsun Ray, I had a red 74 Lil Hustler was a great little truck.
TarheelRick Posted February 29, 2020 Posted February 29, 2020 Oh yeah, very nice build. I had a '74 that same color and a '78 King Cab also that color of blue. Love both of those trucks. Put Jackman 8-spoke wheels on both of them. The '74 got sideswiped by a drunk driver, so I put a California Step-side conversion on it, never got it painted, finally traded for the '78.
Rbray47 Posted March 1, 2020 Posted March 1, 2020 I like this build a lot. Too bad no one kitted a Toyota from the same era.
cobraman Posted March 2, 2020 Author Posted March 2, 2020 Thank you Randy. I gave it to my BIL today and he was very pleased. He was more pleased when I would not accept any money for the work or the kit.
Metalbeast Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 LOVE it! A plastic kit is one way to find a rust-free 620, lol! For some reason the grille of these trucks always remind me of a '64 Mercury.
