vamach1 Posted April 11, 2020 Posted April 11, 2020 (edited) If you followed the build thread you got to see the interior and engine (an extra Thunder Valley one plus some other resin parts) which are all now hidden under this one piece body. If I had to build this again I would either skip the engine or cut the rear deck off like the TV version so you could see the engine. The only parts I omitted were the fire extinguisher and I add did not add the seat belts. Once the chassis was forced into the body I had to made some mods for everything to fit by cutting away part of the engine cover and I still to cut some more away so the spare tire cover fits flush. I also could not get all fours wheels to be level on the ground no mater how I fiddled with the front and rear suspensions. I think this was due to trying to do to much on this build which just made it harder to get everything to fit withou being able to test fit for fear o the resin breaking if I tried to stretch the body too many times. The only thing I may add are the roof lights if I find something that looks correct. I thought about changing the rear tires since they are a little too wide but I was afraid it would wreck the rear suspension trying to take ithem off. Otherwise it is time to move ont o anohter project which will hopefully go smoother and not take as long. Edited April 11, 2020 by vamach1 Test
cobraman Posted April 11, 2020 Posted April 11, 2020 Looks great Rex. I'm still searching for a kit at a reasonable price. No luck. Do you happen to know any info on when the Meng kit will be available and cost ? I know it won't be cheap.

The MENG kit was originally going to be out in October but I am guessing that will be delayed. As for price I can only guess around $200 or more. I have not touched my Trumpter 1/12 MKII yet.
Gramps46 Posted April 11, 2020 Posted April 11, 2020 Well done Rex and a really good choice of subject.
