The gtx chassis is a great fit and requires little adjustment. Here are a few pics of mine and where I removed a small amount of material. As for the convertible boot, I had one in my parts stash that was a corrected resin one that IIRC I got from missing link. I still made a few adjustments but overall it works fairly well.

this is a great build and some good info here. the gtx chassis and parts are a good fit to the 68. I'll have to keep that in mind if I ever find a 68 to replicate my dad's! anyway great work looking forward to more

Thanks for those pics. Good reference. I'll check Missing Link to see if they have any boot covers.

Don't paint the front chassis rails black though, that isn't a separate subframe on B bodies.   The K member and trans mount (middle part only of the trans crossmember) were painted black, but the rest was part of the body assembly.
