Plowboy Posted June 24, 2020 Posted June 24, 2020 I built this around four years ago. It was mainly a test mule for the colors that I was considering for another project. The top got a 3.5 mms chop, louvers added to the hood and custom tailgate, the recess for the Corvette lights on the rear fenders filled, cab lights were painted to look like taillights, the section behind the grille was removed to recess the grille, firewall smoothed and suspension lowered. Originally, I had wheel covers from the kit on it. But, I couldn't stand looking at them any longer and replaced them with the chrome reverse wheels from an AMT '36 Ford. Paint is Dupli Color Bahama Blue and Bright Red with clear. Thanx for checking it out! 1
espo Posted June 24, 2020 Posted June 24, 2020 So this is just a paint experiment ?? I like how you kept the chopped top at a reasonable height.
Deuces ll Posted June 26, 2020 Posted June 26, 2020 Very cool!!!... I love those steelies... ? I wonder what it would look like with the baby Moons on it??.....??? ??
Koellefornia Kid Posted June 26, 2020 Posted June 26, 2020 The chop looks just right and the colors are beautiful! Well done!

Not necessarily an experiment. More of a test run. Mainly, I wanted to see what the blue looked like on a body. Secondly, I wanted to see if the red would work with the blue. On the chop, I actually had to increase the height of the back glass as the chop had literally given it the mail slot look.

Didn't take long to tire of those and I switched them out.
