1/20 scale wide tires ? Where ?

I just received a vintage kit I bought that was still sealed. It is the 66 Mustang Mach 1 concept car. Anyway, I opened it to check it out and found all  tires dried and cracked.  Does anyone know where I can find some wide 1/20 scale tires that have tread ( no slicks ). They can be rubber or resin. Model is useless without some and it wasn't cheap. Thanks

The MPC 1970 AMX was reissued in the past couple of years, may be the most convenient source of tires. Hope this helps in your search.

Ray, if you're not in a big hurry, I'm thinking I have a set from an MPC Viper Vette. It may take a while to locate them.

Thanks guys. Getting the AMX may be my best best. Roger thanks but please don't go to the trouble. I will have to get tires and wheels I guess. No way will I find the right size to fit these wheels.

How wide is "wide"?

The reissued AMX has only one set of stock style tires (with a narrow whitewall insert IIRC) and a pair of slicks, so you may not want to buy one just for the tires.

Can you measure and post the wheel measurements, please? I will check the 1/20 tires I have to see what fits.

Thanks Casey but I ordered a set of GMP 1/18 scale ones that I am sure will work. I tried some 1/18 scale ones from a Shelby Cobra that were very close and the ones I ordered have less diameter . Thank you !

Yes these old tires will melt over time.  I managed to keep these two intact but for how long is anyone’s guess.

Ouch!!  Looks like some severe road rash on those.

I wonder if those would hold up if you tried to mount them on the wheels  ?
