Perspective Customs
Does anyone know what scale the Johan 1959 Cadillac Fleetwood is? I tried to fit a 1/25 Revell chassis to it but it's too big. It may work with some cutting. I also came across a Modelhaus rear bumper but it was too wide to fit and made differently than the promo. Would the Revell or Gunze 1/32 be a better fit or would they be too small? Thanks
gtx6970
Johan is 1.25th. At least its marked as such
Mark
The Jo-Han Cadillacs (the early ones at least) were "cheated" a bit, to look correct with the same tires that were used on other cars, and to fit in the promotional model boxes that the other cars used also. Actual scale might even differ in one aspect versus another (wheelbase, length, width).
Perspective Customs
Interesting. So I guess 1/32 parts are not an option. I'll post on the Wanted section to see if anyone has a spare rear bumper. One of the fins broke off and fell into the missing parts black hole. I'll try to massage the Revell chassis and see how that goes. I may combine it with a 1960 Impala chassis that has the wheel wells.
ChrisBcritter
Width is very close, but length was very carefully condensed. Are you working with an original kit body, an original promo body, or the X-EL reissue body? Mark
The length reduction makes the roof look a bit large. As I recall, the '61 and '62 are more obvious in that respect.

Comparing a Revell Eldorado and a Jo-Han '60 Fleetwood: I'm not positive but I believe I have the X-EL, only because it's not a kit, not warped anywhere and it's not friction. It didn't have a box when I bought it. I really need a solution for that fin tip.
Sam I Am
Would part of a 57 Chevy rear fin work?

I should have a 57 Chevy bumper somewhere. There was a kit that included one and seemed so out of place. Maybe the AMT 49 Merc.
